The STORServer Data Protection (SDP) for Oracle Rdb is fully integrated with the Oracle’s backup-certified Rdb Management Utility (RMU) and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) to provide you with powerful backup/archive solution that is automated, highly reliable protection, high performance, granular recovery and increased availability for your Rdb databases. Integration with RMU insures that Oracle Rdb DBA can take advantage of a fully supported backup and restore solution while continuing to use the tools, RMU, that they are familiar with. Backups can be initiated by the client via a script or command line. Many of these scripts are already deployed today and take very little modification to work with SDP for Oracle Rdb.

SDP for OpenVMS Rdb allows the database server to continue executing mission critical applications while safely securing your data to offline storage. Being able to manage and automate data protection on running database servers vastly reduces costly application downtime -- and saves you money.
