STORServer Cabinets
STORServer cabinets contain the entire appliance, including the server, on-line pool devices, network connections, power connections, and display units. In certain units, the on-line pool uses a tape library that cannot physically fit in the main STORServer appliance cabinet. In this case, the library will be provided in its own stand-alone cabinet, placed next to the STORServer, and cabling between the two units is included. Customer can provide their own rack or cabinet space, if they wish. The cabinets, in fact, are optional in all backup appliance configurations. Purchasing a STORServer Backup Appliance complete with a cabinet, however, speeds up the installation process dramatically. A STORServer shipped with the appliance is ready for production in minutes.
